Faith...

Faith reminds me of when I was a kid again,

Without sin hands stretched running round trying to catch the wind

Though I never could quite see it, my mind seemed not to care

I felt it though, enough to believe it was always there.

Then season after season and after many moons,

The game was overshadowed as clouds of curiosity began to gloom.

Life dictated by media, change brought about only by way of the remote control,

Physical appeal began to outweigh the pure beauty of the soul.

Clocks drowning in material things, false hope that consumption can serve the pains

Temporary, for when we die, we are reborn and only the soul remains.

New cars will sit in abandoned lots,

While this body we borrowed will begin to rot.

Another year passes and it’s important that we know,

What Good is it to a man that gains the world but loses his own soul?

So now when people party and ask why I choose to stay in,

I simply reply that "I’m waiting for morning so I can go chase the wind."
